Sobre míAbout me

Juan Manuel Verdier

I have spent more than 20 years building real companies. Not the magazine-cover kind: the kind that pay salaries at the end of the month, negotiate with suppliers in China, and solve cash-flow problems at 7 a.m. on a Tuesday.

I have built businesses in industries that have nothing in common: food, technology, real estate, importing and distribution. That is exactly how I learned that the underlying problems of any business are always the same: selling, earning margin, protecting cash, building structure, and growing without breaking. I call that map The 5 Blocks of the Entrepreneur, and it is the backbone of everything I write.

I firmly believe in people's capacity to build, and I understand a company, small or large, as a sum of conversations: between partners, employees, customers and, above all, suppliers. When those conversations are good, the company moves forward. When they do not exist, it stalls.

I started writing about business in 2016. Today I am back with a concrete goal: I am writing a book for entrepreneurs, documenting the process with real cases. This site, my LinkedIn and my Instagram are the logbook of that journey.

If something I write helps you make one better decision this week, my goal is fulfilled.
